Dark Hour Haunted House is DFW's top-rated haunted house event. Dark Hour’s state of the art lighting and audio systems, in-house production facility, and talented staff of artists and technicians allow us to offer new immersive experiences for each unique production. Dark Hour is located in Plano, Texas off Plano Parkway and Highway 75, near the George Bush turnpike.

How Does timed ticketing work?Each general admission ticket has a designated 1/2-hour time frame to enter into the queue. You will not be allowed to enter until the start of your window. Example: If you bought a ticket for the 8pm slot you cannot enter before 8pm. Your designated arrival time would be anywhere between 8pm-8:30pm.

Is there an age limit?We recommend Dark Hour for ages 10 & up. We do not allow anyone under the age of 5. Each guest must be able to walk on their own, not carried (we are wheelchair accessible). As a parent, please use your best discretion.

Are you open if it’s raining?YES. We are always open rain or shine. Dark Hour is 100% indoors and climate controlled with a large portion of the queue indoors during Halloween season.

Do you charge for parking?No. We offer free paved parking around the haunted house. On busier nights, our lot may fill up but there is usually available parking nearby. Please be respectful of our neighbors and do not park in any reserved spots.

How large of a group can enter the haunted house?The maximum group size is 8 people, but please keep in mind that this is self-paced show and not everyone travels the same speed when scared.

What can I expect from the event?Dark Hour Haunted House invites visitors to deep dive into their worst fears and offers a top-notch theatrical experience led by frightening creatures. It’s directed to horror fans and adrenaline seekers, who will stroll through the darkest corners of the manor and try to escape the horror.

Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?This experience is held indoors in an air-conditioned venue.

How long does the experience last?The haunted attraction usually takes 20-30 minutes to walk through. There is a small wait in a themed queue as well. Overall, plan to spend 60-90 minutes at Dark Hour. The VIP experience takes 1h, includes VIP scare stations, two trips through the attraction and fast pass admission to skip the waiting line!

Is there parking available?Free paved parking is available on site and in surrounding areas.

Is there a dress code?Closed toe shoes are strongly recommended. Costumes are welcome, however they must follow these guidelines: NO masks or helmets may be worn. NO oversized costumes, including inflatables or stilts. NO handheld props or costume elements.

Will there be interaction with the performers?While the performers will captivate and engage the audience, the experience does not involve direct interaction with them. You can fully immerse yourself in the performance by observing and enjoying it. Our monsters will not touch you. Please be respectful and do not touch them. Incidental and unintentional contact may occur, as they do get very close but they will not touch.

Will there be merchandise for sale?Yes! There will be merchandise for sale at the gift shop.

Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session?It is recommended that you arrive at the time stated on your ticket, but you can arrive within the next 10 minutes. Guests with the last possible time slot of the evening must arrive by the time on your ticket; late arrivals cannot be accommodated as doors will close.

Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed?Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in this event’s location. Service animals are allowed only in the lobbies but not in the show areas. This is for the animal’s safety.

Is the venue accessible?Yes, the event is being held in an accessible venue, ADA compliant with a hallway width of 42” and ramp slope of 1” of rise to 1 ft of length when ramps are needed. We do provide a character escort to make navigating the dark hallways as smooth and yet as terrifying as possible.

What are the prohibited items at the experience? Can I smoke or vape?Smoking and vaping are not allowed at the venue.

Is the experience accessible for deaf/visually impaired people?We are happy to confirm that both deaf and visually impaired people will be able to enjoy this experience.

Will there be strobe lights?This event will include strobe lights.

Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition?This is a walkthrough experience, so there won't be any seating available.

Will restrooms be available on site?This venue has restrooms—please ask our staff on site for indications.

Can I take photos or record the experience?Unfortunately, photos and videos are not permitted inside the haunted attraction, not even with your mobile phone. However, there are plenty of free photo ops in the pre-show and post-show areas.

Is there a Lost & Found?We would recommend asking the staff at the venue if they have found your belongings. If you cannot ask them on site, please reach out at info@darkhourhauntedhouse.com

Is a coat check available?Unfortunately, this venue has no coat check.

Is there an age requirement?All ages are welcome to this experience, although we recommend this experience for ages 10+. Please keep in mind that the space is not accessible for prams/strollers.

Will there be an audio guide?Unfortunately, this experience does not include an audio guide.

Can I make a group booking?If you would like to book for a large group, please reach info@darkhourhauntedhouse.com with your preferred attendance date and the size of your group. We will get this to you soon.

Can I wear a costume?Costumes are welcomed, but please be advised that some costume elements such as full face masks, helmets, handheld accessories, and oversized costumes such as stilts and inflatables are not allowed. Ultimately, it is at our staff’s discretion.
